I travelled to Southern Africa for a short trip over Christmas, it was my first time to the African continent and I will be definately be back.
I began my trip in Zambia and visited the world heritage site Victoria Falls. The highlight of Zambia was the elephant back safari, I have previously rode Asian elephants in Thailand and Nepal, however nothing compares to the sheer size of an African Elephant. I went over the Botswana and spent Christmas Day on a cruise down the Chobe River, we spotted a lot of Hippos! I was fortunate enough to spot a male Lion and a Leopard in Kruger National Park.
Lastly I finished up my trip in Cape Town, possibly one of the most beautiful cities I have visited in the world. I went cage diving with Great White Sharks, that was definately a great experience. I cannot wait to go back to Africa, hopefully to explore the Serengeti next time.
