At Aspire Wealth & Protection 2016 has been full of achievements. More Australian families and businesses are covered in the event of untimely death, or to be able to provide cash flow to their families in the event of being disabled due to an illness or accident, and families have kept their homes and received the best quality care after receiving a lump sum Trauma payment due to a Heart Attack, Cancer, or Stroke.
For our investor clients, 2016 has been a good year, but not without its issues with a poor start to January, Brexit and then the surprise of Donald Trump as the new US President. As we are writing our December newsletter, the All Ordinaries index is up 5.5% for the calendar year and the US Dow reached an all-time high just 100 points away from the 20,000 mark, so far the Dow is up a spectacular 14.3%. As I keep saying, stay focused, stay invested in quality investments, and diversification is the key to sound wealth creation.
A sample of 12 of Australia’s leading investment managers forecast that 2017 may be the first year since the GFC to give investors’ confidence in a sustainable growth trajectory.
2016 was also the year that Aspire Wealth & Protection won the Port Stephens financial services category business awards and my granddaughter Audrina was born.
As this year approaches its end, it is a good time to think back and reflect on your own year.
The things that went well, the not so well, and the on-going challenges that are still to be put behind you.
